The Sandbar Sessions
In 2004 The Kevin Clark trio along with a host of talented local musicians, recorded a live concert at the Sandbar Pub, just north of Wellington.
Kevin and his trio have been resident at The Sandbar in Paremata for over 2 years now. They consider the venue ideal for a live recording thanks to its warm intimate atmosphere, appreciative audience and great acoustics for jazz.
These traits come across admirably on 'The Sandbar Sessions' album, with jazz away from the claustrophobic confines and trickery of the studio ~ replaced by the energy of the interaction with the audience...
