Moisty Atsushi's Rocksteady All Stars To Play Earthquake Benefit Gig

Moisty Atsushi's Rocksteady All Stars To Play Earthquake Benefit Gig

It has been one year since both Christchurch and Japan experienced huge earthquakes.

On the 22 February 2011, Christchurch had the magnitude 6.3 earthquake, one of the nation's worst ever peacetime disasters, which killed 184 people.

Later, on 11 March 2011, the magnitude 9.0 earthquake hit Japan, causing 20,000 casualties. These two events we should never forget.

These powerful natural disasters left both countries severely damaged. Even though media coverage has died down, people there are still struggling to get back to normal.

Once again, Moisty Atsushi's Rocksteady All Stars are fundraising for both these communities to show they still remember what happened and they still care. Please head along and show your support.

The Thirsty Dog in Auckland is supporting this show on Saturday 3 March with Moisty Atsushi's Rocksteady All Stars, AceTones, Miho Wada, Tigilau Ness (of Unity Pacific), DJ Ska Rob and DJ Selecto.

Entry is by donation (suggested donation $10), with all proceeds split between Namie (Japanese earthquake relief charity) and the New Zealand Red Cross.
