A letter from our friend Jackie Bristow:
"Hi there everyone! 2011 has got off to a great start. My tour with Tommy Emmanuel was amazing! I played some beautiful theatres and got to meet so many wonderful people. Here is a link of a live performance playing with Tommy Emmanuel at the Plaza Theatre in Orlando singing a new song of mine Shot of Gold.
I have now set up shop again in Austin and I will be playing around Texas regularly and have already been doing shows in Austin and Houston... it is fun to be back.
Tomorrow night Tuesday 12 April at 10.30pm I have an Austin show at Momo's Club and will be performing on FoxTV early morning around 7am! (Ouch, that's early!) I have a great band for my Momo's show - Mark Punch (Joe Cocker, Kasey Chambers)! This is Mark's last show with me in the US before he heads back down to Sydney, Australia. I also have Will Sexton on bass and Mark Hays on percussion. So it will be a lot of fun, I hope you can make it down as I don't always get to perform with such a great band - it's a real treat!
Wednesday night I am opening for Marc Cohn at the Plaza Theatre in Orlando! I am very excited about this show as I played the Plaza when I was opening for Tommy and it is a beautiful theatre with amazing acoustics. I am also a big fan of Marc Cohn so it's very exciting to be invited to open for him.
