Tahuna Breaks Headlining Jameson Jam Sessions

The highly anticipated Jameson Jam Sessions are hitting Auckland's Sale Street on Thursday 7 April.
With a line-up of Tahuna Breaks, Sacha Vee with live band, Isaac Aesili and Rachel Fraser with a live PA set, the second Jameson Jam Session for 2011 is set to be full to the brim with downright good times and a definite crowd-pleaser.
Headline act Tahuna Breaks will be dishing up a serving of dance-fuelling progressive funk and roots. This is their first Auckland concert since their two sell-out performances at The Powerstation last year and Tahuna Breaks promise new and previously unheard material. With an appetite for continuously pushing boundaries in their live performance, audiences have already begun taking note of the band's shift toward a sound that is bigger, darker and heavier.
Sacha Vee and her live band will be stoking the fire with her breath-taking sound, which uniquely combines neo soul, funk and jazz; while sophisticated duo Isaac Aesili and Rachel Fraser will be delivering a set drenched with R&B hustle and swagger mixed with experimental future soul.
With all acts notorious for their live shows, the Auckland Jameson Jam Session expertly curates the cream of New Zealand's up-and-coming talent in the funk, soul, roots and jazz genres.
"The Jameson Jam Sessions at Sale St is an event that celebrates New Zealand's up-and-coming talent," says Kathryn Love, Brand Manager for Jameson. "A successful start to the 2011 Jameson Jam Sessions saw fantastic responses from our loyal fans about the Jameson experience, we can't wait for the Sale St event."
Having spent a lot of time recently working on their forthcoming album, Tahuna Breaks - a band that relishes performing live - are more than excited to take the stage at the Auckland Jameson Jam Session.
"We can't wait to play our new songs and set for our first night-time show of the year at the Jameson Jam Session," says Tim Gemmel, Tahuna Breaks' drummer and a founding member.
