Kora's EP Volume goes Platinum

Kora have reached platinum status with sales of over 10000 copies of their debut EP Volume.
Kora are a five-piece band of brothers who make their mark with their memorable live performances. Comprised of Laughton Kora on vocals, guitar and keys; Francis Kora on bass and vocals, Stuart Kora on guitar and vocals; Brad Kora on drums and Dan McGurer on keys and bass, Kora's music overflows with vocal harmonies sailing across a powerhouse rhythm section.
Produced and independently released by Kora, Music EP Volume was recorded at the infamous 'Surgery' by Dr Lee Prebble (Trinity Roots, Black Seeds, Phoenix Foundation) and mastered at the legendary 'Drop' by Mu from Fat Freddy's Drop.
EP Volume was released late 2004. The first single Politician held the No. 1 spot on Radioscope's alternative chart for two weeks, and then staying in the top ten for a further eight weeks. So far the EP has reached No. 2 on the IMNZ (Independent Music New Zealand) chart, No. 1 on the Groove Guide new release chart and No. 3 on Amplifier's best seller listings.
