3 Kiwi Albums Nominated for Award and you can Vote

Three kiwi acts have been nominated at the BBC's 2005 Gilles Peterson Worldwide Awards. 

              

Firstly London based kiwi producer/keyboard maestro Mark de Clive Lowe has been nominated twice.  Mark's album TIDE'S ARISING is nominated in the Worldwide Album of the Year and his remix for Big Bang's 'Smile In Your Eyes (MdCL remix)' is nominated for Single of the Year.

                  

Wellington's Recloose has also been nominated in the Worldwide Album of the Year category for the critically acclaimed Hiatus on the Horizon

           

            

 

          

Rounding out the nominations NZ's chart topping, globe roaming, NZ Music Award winning Fat Freddy's Drop have also received a nod for Based on a True Story.

        

       

     

        

Also nominated in the Worldwide Track of the Year is Joe Dukie and DJ Fitchie (a.k.a. Dallas and Mu from Fat Freddy's Drop) for Seconds and Mark de Clive Lowe for his remix of the Big Bang track Smile in Your Eyes.

       

The Gilles Peterson Worldwide Awards Awards are decided by public vote, so this is your chance to get out there and help a kiwi who's doing it big overseas.  The Awards Show will be held December 12 at Cargo, London.
