Heavy Jones Trio
Heavy Jones Trio hail from Christchurch, but are now based in Auckland as a four-piece. Lead man, vocalist and songwriter Kelly Horgan was one half of the duo Love Soup in 1995. The other half was Bic Runga. There are some tracks in NZ On Air music archives. Horgan also fronted local teenage sugar popsters The Tardigrades. Drummer Myles Allpress, also of The Tardigrades, previously drummed for The Puffins before forming the vivacious live three-piece, The Sundance Kids, with guitarist Ben Eldridge.
