Last week we mentioned that P-Money's Everything had been added to BBC Radio 1's playlist - a big break by anyone's standards. Well this week it is Radio 1's Record of The Week. Seems P's debut Big Things was but an indication of what was to come...

Three new releases hit the albums charts this week; Sweet & Irie's debut album, Localize It, enters the chart at number 16. Dimmer's fourth long player Degrees Of Existence enters at number 25 and Blindspott's Sold Out enters at number 27.
Fat Freddy's and J Williams albums are both still holding court in the top ten at 7 and 8 respectfully. And Minuit, Tiki and Midnight Youth all stay in the top forty this week with Smashproof reentering the chart with The Weekend.
Seven acts feature in the singles chart; Kids of 88, J Williams (twice), Tiki, Dane Rumble, Midnight Youth and Smashproof with their new entry No Ordinary Weekend.
The Great NZ Songbook stays in the compilation charts is holding its place at number four and has been on the charts for fourteen weeks now.

Today's featured track is KidsCan Stand Tall - Thank You (The Big Night In 2009)
It's been 15 years since New Zealand's iconic Telethon appeared on our screens raising money for all those great causes. Now the KidsCan StandTall Charitable Trust is bringing back Telethon. The 'Big Night In' in partnership with TV3, to benefit Kiwi Kids living in poverty.
The telethon track, Thank You, has been written by Opshop front person Jason Kerrison and features a plethora of NZ talent including Josh & Carly from TV3's Sunrise, Miriam Clancy, Miriama Smith, Devolo, Matt from Opshop, Hosanna from NZNTM and many more. And joining in the spirit Amplifier will donate all proceeds from sales of the track to KidsCan StandTall.
KidsCan StandTall Charitable Trust is a national charity dedicated to ensuring all Kiwi kids affected by poverty can look forward to a brighter future. The Trust was founded in August 2005 by Julie Helson and Carl Sunderland. KidsCan StandTall delivers four targeted programmes - Raincoats for Kids, Shoes for Kids, Food for Kids and StandTall. These four programmes help remove the physical and nutritional barriers which may prevent financially disadvantaged children, who attend low decile schools from getting the most out of their education.
Starting at 7.00 pm on Saturday the 8th of August on TV3, The 'Big Night In' - Telethon 2009 will be a 23 hour nonstop FUN-draiser. Tune in for exciting TV viewing. The Big Night In Telethon will screen live from three main centers, the Alinghi Base in Auckland, the St James Theatre in Wellington and Whitebait Studios in Christchurch.
